To better meet the needs of field engineers, the TED® offering evolves and expands with 4 new references. Discover all the new TED® products for the underground layout of telecom fibre optic or RJ45 cables and power cables.
Developed under the TED® brand, the following products were inspired by the concrete needs and feedbacks of telecom and energy cable installers.
1.Cable drum roller with access ramp.
To provide greater flexibility and vesatility on the construction site, the TED® cable drum roller has been redesigned. As a result of this upgrade, the new cable drum roller with access ramp offers:
- Improved finishing quality
- Greater compatibility with various existing cable drums. 100% compatible with DROPTIC® cable drums manufactured by Telenco. The new TED® cable roller is equipped with adjustable support cylinders so to accomodate to a variable range of cable spools, from 200mm to 700mm. This cable drum unwinder also presents notches for 4 different possible positions (front/back and 2 heights relative to the ground) for each roller. This makes the TED® cable drum roller with access ramp a versatile tool, designed to adapt to your needs on the construction site.
- Enhanced stability, thanks to adjustable and non-slip rubber feet designed to ensure the safety of field engineers. This cable drum roller can be used both outdoors and indoors.
In addition to improving its already proven products, the TED® offering is also expanding with three other products:
2.Heavy duty ski-type cable drum roller
This two-part adjustable cable drum roller can easily accomodate cable drums from 400mm to 1200mm in diameter. The TED® ski-type cable drum unwinder is:
- Lightweight and easy to transport: entirely made from aluminum, this cable drum unwinder is delivered with skates equipped with carrying handles. This not only enables easier setup, but also helps preventing musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs).
- Safe for the cable and its contents (fibre optics, copper or aluminium strands).
- Designed for use with wooden and plastic cable drums. For cable drums with metal strapping, please opt for the modular TED® ski-type cable drum unwinder
3.TED® Straight cable roller Ø135mm
This cable drum unwinder is an essential tool for all straight underground cable installations.
The TED® straight cable roller makes it easier to install fibre optic, copper or power cables, as well as cabling ropes or drawropes inside conduits.
Key features:
- Robust galvanized steel construction;
- Suitable for cables, cabling ropes or drawropes up to 135mm in diameter;
- Facilitates the smooth installation of a cable inside an underground duct without damaging the contained fibre optic, aluminum or copper strands, preserving thus the cable’s factory performances.
4.TED® 360° Rotatable cable roller Ø 80mm
This edge mount manhole lead in cable roller is a must-have for protecting cables during their installation in conduits. Placed on the edge of a telecom manhole, this TED® cable roller:
- rotates 360° to facilitate all your underground installations ;
- accommodates cables, drawropes and cabling ropes up to 80mm in diameter ;
- features a robust galvanized steel structure and allows for installation without damaging the cable, nor fibre optique, aluminum or copper strands contained within.
